Frederico was born in Itaperuna, Brazil, in 1983. He obtained a degree in Automation and Control Engineering in 2004, a Bachelor's degree in Pure Mathematics in 2008, and a Master's degree in Numerical Analysis/Scientific Computing in 2011.
Since 2007, Frederico has worked for a number of institutions and companies on scientific visualization, simulators, and implementation of new numerical methods for partial differential equations.
In 2013, he joined the IT’IS Foundation and ETH Zurich as a Ph.D. student. His thesis focused on mathematical and computational modeling of the evolution of cerebral aneurysms, nonlinear anisotropic probabilistic biological tissue modeling, multiscale fluid-structure interaction solvers and their efficient implementation on high-performance computers.
After finishing his PhD. studies, Frederico joined ZMT to continue the development of the FEM solvers and to take the lead on the meta-modeling technologies in Sim4Life.
