Sim4Life V1.2 is an update release of Sim4Life V1.0. It contains 
various enhancements as well as bug fixes. This document summarizes 
the enhancements, known bugs, workarounds, and other important 
issues to be aware of in this release.

1. Installation Requirements
--------------------------------------------------------------------

 - Administrator rights are required during the installation process.
 - Microsoft .Net Framework v3.5 SP1 must be previously installed.
 - NVIDIA graphics card, with support for OpenGL versions higher 
than v1.5.

  - Windows 7 64 bit
  - Windows 8 64 bit

 
Sim4Life V1.2 uses Acceleware's Auckland library version 11.1.1. 
Please get the latest NVIDIA driver for your hardware from the 
Acceleware website: http://www.acceleware.com/fdtd-11.1.1.

Please note that only NVIDIA GPUs with CUDA Compute Capability 1.3 
or higher are supported.

3.1. Licensing

- New Preference settings allow the user to manage the licensed 
features.
- Modules' licenses are only used while the algorithms run, i.e., 
not the whole time the Sim4Life GUI runs.


3.2. Modeling

- New Center Line extraction tool
- Enhanced REMESH tool for mesh editing
- New STL Export feature
- Ability to perform Boolean operations between solids and meshes
- Enhanced Mesh Doctor for inspection of triangle surface meshes


3.3. Simulation

- New Voltage sensor
- New User-defined EM-FDTD, EM-QS and Thermal sources
- Support of dispersive media in EM-FDTD simulations


3.4. Analysis

- New Far Field sensor
- New Smith Chart plot
- New Histogram viewer
- New DISFIT Module: Dispersive Material Fitting Tool

- Enhancements allowing to run under Administrator user

- Improved memory handling when loading cViP V3.0 in computers 
with low RAM
- Enabled Reference Impedance setting for a single EM-FDTD 
simulation in the Analysis tab
- Fixed issue in iSEG while loading DCM files
- Fixed issue of canceling Tasks running in the main thread
- Improved Thermal sources from Multiport EM-FDTD simulations
