IT’IS Foundation and ZMT Zurich Medtech Sim4Life-CAPITALIS Project Nominated for CTI Swiss Medtech 2015 Award
The Commission for Technology and Innovation CTI has nominated the research project entitled “S4L-CAPITALIS –In Silico Analysis and Optimization of Neurovascular and Neurological Devices and Treatments in the Head”, submitted by the IT’IS Foundation together with partner ZMT Zurich Medtech AG, for the prestigious CTI Swiss Medtech 2015 Award.
The S4L-CAPITALIS project is one of three outstanding CTI Medtech projects that were pre-selected by a CTI expert team for the CTI Swiss Medtech Award 2015. In S4L-CAPITALIS, the second Sim4Life project to be funded by CTI, S4L-CAPITALIS facilitated an essential extension of Sim4Life V1.0, enabling industry, regulators, and researchers to analyze and optimize neurovascular and neurological devices and treatments in the head under realistic conditions. The result is Sim4Life V2.0.
The projects will be presented to an audience of medtech specialists at the CTI MedTech Event 2015 to be held in Bern, September 8th, 2015, and a live vote will then decide the winning team. The winner will be awarded CHF 15,000 as well as admission to and an exhibition stand at the Swiss Innovation Forum 2015 to be held November 19th in Basel.
