Maksym Yushchenko was born in Ukraine.
Maksym studied Information (BSc) and Electronic (MSc) engineering at the University of Padova, Italy with a double degree (Diplôme d’Ingénieur) in generalist engineering at École Centrale Paris.
Maksym then completed his PhD at the Adaptable MRI Technology Center, University of Basel, on tools and methods for MR imaging and elastography at low field (0.1 T) in humans. Since he was the first member of a newly created lab, he had the chance to develop many broad skills regarding hands-on activities such as setting up 3 different-size research MRI systems, simulations and construction of dedicated RF coils and elastography phantoms, vibration hardware building for MRE, MRI and NMR sequence programming and optimization, as well as operating a clinical 3 T scanner at the hospital.
Maksym is responsible for ZMT's hardware systems for evaluating the MRI safety of active medical implantable devices.
