IT’IS Hosts New Anatomical Pediatric Model ATHENA V1.0

ATHENA V1.0 added to the Virtual Population (ViP): The IT’IS ViP library now includes a new, open-access, whole-body computational model called ATHENA V1.0, developed by Georgios Ntolkeras and his colleagues at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, USA. This model of a 3.5-year-old girl is segmented into 267 tissue compartments, including 50 brain tissue structures.

ATHENA V1.0 and MARTIN V1.0 are intended for use in magnetic resonance imaging safety investigations, as well as in other applications. Both are fully compatible with Sim4Life.

Congratulations to the MGH team for their excellent work in creating this new model!

More information about the two releases can be found on the IT’IS website.
