Sim4Life Live Demos will be held June 5 – 8 (Mon–Thurs), from 12:15 to 13:30 at Booth #G11. Detailed agenda for the Live Demos is here.
The workshop will be opened by Drs. Melina Bouldi and Habib Bousleiman (ZMT Zurich MedTech AG) with an overview of the new features in Sim4life. Dr. Yihe Hua (GE Global Research) will then talk about the impact of “Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS) Analysis of MRI Head Gradient Coils with Human Body Models”, a key topic in next-generation MRI R&D. Thus, gradient coil technology will also be the focus of the second presentation, given by Dr. Ergin Atalar (Bilkent University) on “Application of Gradient Array Coils”.
We will continue with the topic of ultra-high field MRI with Dr. Joseph Rispoli’s talk on “Parallel Transmit RF Simulation Workflows” developed in his group at Purdue University.
Dr. Bernd Ittermann (PTB Berlin) will summarize and discuss the current state of safe implant scanning and what still needs to be improved by presenting results from two pan-European research projects. Dr. Kagayaki Kuroda (Tokai University) will complement the discussion with his talk on “RF Heating of Epicardial Lead and Abandoned Lead”.
Finally, Dr. Nico van den Berg (the University Medical Center Utrecht) will provide insight into an exciting new technology for monitoring heart failure with radiofrequency sensing and share how Sim4Life adds value to his group’s technology research.
The workshop will be concluded by Dr. Michael Oberle (ZMT Zurich MedTech AG) with an outlook on Sim4Life for 2023/24, introducing our strategy to explore the power of cloud computing for advanced in silico medicine.
All workshop participants are cordially invited to a light dinner (served at the beginning of the workshop), and to continue the discussion during a networking reception at the end. Workshop agenda can be found here.
Registration is open and free-of-charge. Please note that, since only limited seating is available, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
