From February 23 – 26, 2025, ZMT and its Z43 alliance partners, the IT’IS Foundation and TI Solutions AG, had the privilege of connecting with customers, research partners, and thought leaders at the 6th Brain Stimulation Conference in Kobe, Japan.
At our booth, our teams engaged in discussions on the latest advancements in patient-specific computational modeling using Sim4Life. We were also especially delighted by the lively interest in our TIBS-R solution for closed-loop temporal interference (TI) neuromodulation and our cloud-based TI planning tool (TIP), which enables high-throughput, patient-specific modeling.
On February 25, our breakfast workshop "From Exposure Physics to Physiology: Next-Generation Neuromodulation Research with Sim4Life" attracted approximately 50 scientists and clinicians. Experts from the IT'IS Foundation showcased Sim4Life's strengths as a computational modeling tool for digital prototyping and automated workflow development, with specific applications in in silico safety assessments for enhanced R&D, and personalized stimulation planning for optimizing neuromodulation outcomes.
Scientists and engineers from the IT'IS Foundation and TI Solutions also presented cutting-edge research during an afternoon symposium on February 26 titled "Advanced In Silico Techniques for Next-Generation Stimulation and Sensing Technologies / Advances in Automated Algorithms, Robotics, and Coil Designs for TMS." Presentations covered various aspects of neural sensing using biophysically-detailed models of neural circuits, addressed the complexities of biophysics-based surrogate modeling for neural interface optimization, and introduced a novel approach for highly personalized modeling of stimulation-driven brain network dynamics.
The conference was an exceptional learning experience for all attendees and an outstanding event for the Z43 Alliance. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this success.
We look forward to reconnecting at the 7th Brain Stimulation Conference in 2027!
