MITS High E-Field Resonators for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Evaluation at 64 MHz and 128 MHz

To support simplified Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing of implantable medical devices, ZMT’s Medical Implant Test System (MITS) can be complemented with targeted high electric (E-) field strength resonators (HFR). The MITS-HFR system enables evaluation of short implants (<100mm) directly at the maximum peak and rms E- field strengths without scaling and/or implant model generation and validation.

MITS-HFR1.5 and MITS-HFR3.0 generate the extremely high E- field exposures required for Tier 1 and Tier 2 evaluations as defined in the ISO/TS 10974. The test conditions needed to allow access to these simplified assessments cannot typically be met using any other test environment. ZMT is unique in providing equipment for these field strengths for both 1.5T and 3T.

The resonators can be integrated with any existing MITS System. MITS-HFR1.5 and MITS-HFR3.0 have been rigorously validated. Each system can be used as a stand-alone or with an EASY6 for high precision specific absorption rate (SAR) and temperature evaluation.
