ZMT's Asian partner AUDEN Techno. Corp. together with the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) co-organized a symposium on the topic of "Next Generation Smart-Life Bioelectromagnetic and Future Communication Technologies" in Taipei on July 4, 2018. The all-day event began with a morning session featuring keynote presentations and was opened by Li Fung Chang, the Deputy Director of the 5G Technology Program Office in the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) of Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). ZMT's President of the Board, Niels Kuster, presented a keynote lecture entitled “EM Evaluation and Optimization of IoT Systems: Standards, Software and Instrumentations”, an overview of Z43's latest research results covering wireless applications from wireless power transfer to 5G. ZMT and SPEAG products were exhibited at the AUDEN booth.

The afternoon technical sessions were divided into three tracks, during which Prof. Kuster made a second oral presentation on “Workflow for Demonstration of Compliance of Transmitters Operating above 10 GHz”, in which he described how the tool set developed by ZMT partner SPEAG can be used to perform compliance testing at frequencies above 10 GHz.

In parallel afternoon sessions, Habib Bousleiman, ZMT's Head of MRI Applications, presented two talks on “Novel Tools for Electroceuticals” and “New Potential for Hyperthermia: The European Perspective".
